I have been described as someone with a quirky and somewhat dry sense of humour, a positive attitude, and a calming aura.  I am nostalgic and sentimental, but dislike cheesy.  I grew up in Saskatchewan and then moved to Europe in search of adventure, and while the strong pull of family and raw nature eventually brought me back to Canada, my inner gypsy is still there, craving travel.  Especially to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

I enjoy strong-bodied wine and craft beer but my real culinary guilty pleasure has been, and always will be, Ichiban Noodles.  I am passionate about supporting local farmers, local makers, and low income food programs.  I like playing cards and playing the piano, and even though I can't carry a tune to save my life, my fantasy dream was to be a singer.  I have an amazing husband who marvels me with his intelligence and sensitivity, and our two daughters have brought more joy into my life than I ever expected possible.  I never before realized how much kids could make you laugh.

I feel fortunate in life and strive to help others.  I want to help small businesses grow, help people reach their own personal goals, and help families to realize the extraordinary in the ordinary.  In each realm of photography, my aim is to transport the viewer from observer to participant:  to conjure up the taste of that espresso, the sound of that crowd, the feel of that soft baby skin.  Because photography can, and should, be transformative.
